While we strongly suggest you make an appointment at least 48 hours in advance, we are sometimes able to accommodate same-day appointments. We do ask that you text or call ahead to confirm availability.
There are a few reasons why we may add an additional fee to your groom.
De-Matting Fee – matted fur, regardless of how it is removed, causes much more strain on me, my tools, and most importantly, your pet.
Handling Fee – handling fees may be added for behavioral or safety reasons. Usually added for excess biting.
Cleaning Fee – cleaning fees are typically added for excessive potty accidents. May also be added for flea/tick, skunk, or other extra messes.
Extra Brushing/Scissoring Fee – added for haircuts longer than 1”, as well as for poodle face and/or feet
Cancellation/No-Show Fee – late cancellations and no-shows will incur a fee of $25. Repeated no-shows will result in refusal of service
You will be notified by text within 5 minutes of the completion of your pet’s groom. We kindly ask that you arrive within one hour after said text is sent.
During your pet’s check-in I will do a thorough examination of your pet’s skin, coat, eyes, ears, mouth, and paws/nails. I will also take careful note of signs of distress, such as but not limited to: lethargy, excessive panting or drooling, trembling or shaking, redness in eyes, or resistance to entering the salon. This is to ensure that I am aware of any health or behavior issues or matting that may be present during the groom. If your pet is matted you may be required to sign an additional waiver, and you will be charged a de-matting fee.
Understand your pets triggers – the grooming salon can be loud and scary, especially for pets new to grooming. Be patient with your pet, understand the things that make them tick, and discuss these with your groomer.
Handling & exposure – Get your pet used to being handled like they will be in the salon. Hold their feet, tail, ears, and face. Reward them when they sit still. Expose your dogs to sounds and people. This can be in pet stores, certain retail stores, parks, or you can request a tour of the facility!
Health & safety – We require a valid, up-to-date rabies vaccine in order to enter the salon. We also strongly recommend that your pet be up to date on all other vaccines, as well as protected against fleas & ticks.
